Google AI for private equity,
across every portfolio company.Gemini, Google Workspace and Google Cloud for operating partners and portfolio companies, from a Google Cloud Premier Partner.
One partner for licensing, deployment, training, governance, agent development and ongoing optimization, so portfolio companies without in-house AI expertise reach value within the hold period, and what works at one company repeats across the rest.
What does AI for private equity portfolio companies involve?
Putting Gemini to work in each portfolio company's day-to-day operations with the same governance, security and rollout playbook across the portfolio, so the operating partner can compare results and repeat what works.
Many portfolio companies already pay for it: Gemini comes with Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans. The gap is usually adoption and governance, not licenses. Gemini Enterprise is the step up, for agents that work across a company's documents and systems, and Enterprise plans add the controls a sponsor will ask about, such as data loss prevention and data regions.

What operating partners and portfolio company leaders ask before a portfolio-wide rollout.
Planning a portfolio rollout?
Tell us how many portfolio companies you're looking at, what they run on today and where you want AI to show up first.
Is Google Workspace enough, or do our portfolio companies need Gemini Enterprise?
Start with what they have: Gemini comes with Workspace Business and Enterprise plans, so drafting, summarizing and searching their own files are there already. Gemini Enterprise adds agents that work across a company's documents and systems, such as answering questions from several sources or carrying out a multi-step task.
We've made an add-on acquisition. How does it join the platform company's account?
If the acquired company is on Microsoft 365 or another system, its domain can be added to your account first and its data moved in. If it's on Google Workspace, Google doesn't merge accounts: the data moves first, its account closes, and then its domain joins yours. Our M&A Migrations page covers the steps.
Can a carved-out business get its own Google Workspace account?
Yes. The new company gets its own account, its users' mail and files move across, and its domain moves once the parent's account releases it. Timing usually follows the transition services agreement, so the old account keeps working until the cutover.
