What is Gemini Enterprise?

Gemini Enterprise is a Google Cloud product for AI agents and assistance across a company's tools. It connects to more than 100 sources, including Microsoft 365, Slack, Salesforce, Jira, ServiceNow and BigQuery, and it doesn't require Google Workspace.

People get Google-made agents such as Deep Research, can build their own in Workflow Builder, and developers can register custom agents, all managed by IT in one place with an audit trail.

What's inside Gemini Enterprise

Core Assistant

The default agent: it handles a request whenever someone asks Gemini Enterprise without choosing another agent. Google manages it.

Google-made agents

Agents that Google builds and maintains, such as Deep Research for working through a topic in depth.

Workflow Builder

A no-code and low-code tool for building single and multi-step agents. An admin has to enable it first.

Custom and partner agents

ADK agents hosted on Agent Runtime, A2A and Dialogflow agents, and third-party A2A agents from Google Cloud Marketplace.

Admin control

Admins set each agent's state, who it is shared with and whether it is approved, with an audit trail of activity.

What to fix before agents go live

Gemini Enterprise works under each person's existing permissions, so an agent can reach anything its user can, in Drive or in a connected tool such as OneDrive or Salesforce. Over-shared folders become an agent's input.

How a Gemini Enterprise rollout runs

  1. Discovery and use casesPick the workflows to automate and list the systems each one touches. Every system an agent needs is a connector to set up and a set of permissions to check.
  2. PilotA first group of early adopters uses Core Assistant and a few agents on real work.
  3. DeploymentAgents reach more teams, with an admin approving each one and deciding who it is shared with.
  4. Enablement and optimizationTraining and communications for each group as it comes on, then ongoing optimization of the agents in use.

Gemini Enterprise FAQ

What IT leaders ask before piloting Gemini Enterprise.

Planning a pilot?

Tell us which systems your agents would need to reach, and we'll tell you what connecting them involves.

Do we need Google Workspace to use Gemini Enterprise?

No. It is a Google Cloud product and connects to more than 100 sources, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), Slack, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce, HubSpot, ServiceNow and BigQuery.

Who can build agents, and who controls them?

Employees can build single and multi-step agents in Workflow Builder, but only once an admin enables it. Developers' agents are registered as ADK, A2A or Dialogflow agents. Either way, admins set each agent's state, who it is shared with and whether it is approved.

What does Gemini Enterprise cost?

Google doesn't publish the price. It is quoted through Google sales, and there is a 30-day trial of Enterprise Plus. Google's documentation lists Standard, Plus, Pay-as-you-go, Frontline and Business editions, so the quote depends on which teams need which edition.
